Vapour Blasting, sometimes called Aqua Blasting, or Wet Blasting is a non-abrasive cleaning process with a wide range of applications across motor, marine, industry, aerospace, home & more

Vapour blasting achieves an outstanding, pristine finish which cannot be achieved by hand. The satin finish can be handled without leaving finger marks, is very easy to keep clean and is immediately ready to paint or coat.  Vapour Blasting cleans by flow, thereby eliminating impact, resulting in a 'soft' finish with the water acting as a lubricant with the media, so it doesn't remove any of the structural material. This makes it particularly suitable for gasket surfaces,  cylinder heads, pistons, valves and more where its important not damage to the underlying component.

​We use a British manufactured Vixen Vapour Blast cabinet who are considered the leading manufacturer and supplier of vapour blasting equipment. Trusted and used by Red Bull Racing F1 - Renault F1 - Kawasaki - Audi - Jaguar Land Rover to name but a few.

Before you send your parts.....

• Parts will need to be paint free, dismantled and all internal components removed i.e. bearings, seals, valves, jets etc.
• Carburettors require stripping down and all components to be sent together for Ultrasonic Cleaning/Blasting (Not required for the Bing rebuild service)
• On receiving the items we request they have been cleaned and degreased to a reasonable level.
• If you require us to degrease your items we are happy to do so at an additional cost

Once I receive your parts.....

• All parts are inspected & photographed with any unforeseen issues highlighted before I proceed.
• Components are thoroughly washed in our heated solvent free  bioremediation parts washer which will remove oils and any stubborn build up of contaminants.
• Once washed it's on to vapour blasting your components. Smooth glass beads are mixed in a pressurised jet of hot water to clean by flow, not impact,  leaving a slightly burnished finish on steel and iron, or a more satin appearance on softer alloys such as aluminium.
• Once Vapour Blasted the item is then thoroughly rinsed and blown through with compressed air to ensure all blast media is removed* from any recesses, oil ways and blind holes and threads. 
• Carburettors, callipers, turbo's etc. are then processed through the ultrasonic cleaner.
• After Blasting ferrous components (steel, Iron etc.) they are susceptible to flash rusting. Our final rinse process includes a rust inhibitor which helps to minimise or delay the effect. I can also coat with a light oil at your request. We then once more blow through with compressed air and dry with warm blown air.​
• Your components are once again photographed and the pictures sent attached to your invoice. Once paid they will be securely packaged ready for collection or post.
• We use Parcel Force 24 to return your parts  which costs £10 inc £100 insurance. Additional insurance can be added at £4/£500 of cover (UK only) Click for details

Optional Protection

Protection after blasting can be provided by applying ACF-50. This invisible coating from the Aviation Industry provides long lasting anti-corrosion protection to prevent and delay deterioration for up to 12 months. Ask for details.

*Disclaimer

After Vapour Blasting we thoroughly clean and inspect your components to ensure all residual media is removed. However, we cannot guarantee that there will not be any media residue left. It is the responsibility of the customer to check over their components before reassembling. 

When we remove the dirt & corrosion from your parts it may reveal pre-existing defects such as stress fractures or cracks - If defects are discovered we will inform you immediately and we cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing damage.
