This service will leave your carburettors not only looking like new but ultrasonically cleaned and completely refreshed with all new seals, gaskets & diaphragm. Worn O-rings, gaskets and diaphragm can lead to poor running, difficult starting and erratic idle.
We hold all these parts for 32 & 40mm Bing Carburettors in stock so can commence work upon receipt.
This is ideal for bikes which have covered more than 30K without the carburettors being rebuilt, have a leaky carburettor or have stood unused for some time.
As the needle moves around inside the needle jet it is susceptible to wear. It is quite difficult to assess the condition of the needle & jet by eye so it's wise to replace if the mileage is over 30K or has an unknown history. Worn needle & needle jet could affect throttle response, performance & fuel economy.
The rubber tip on the needle valve can harden with age or is left standing for some time without use. A common sign is an intermittent/constant leak.
We also check the height & weight of the float and that the float needle seals with the float needle seat correctly holding pressure.
The process is the same as the standard rebuild and includes the following quality parts (Our parts are obtained from a BMW parts specialist - NOT cheap equivalents - We use these parts on our own BMW Airhead)

Additional labour is not generally charged unless the carburettor has seized/damaged screws. If you have any pre-existing issues please let us know.
If you do not wish to proceed we will happily send the carburettor back & you will only be charged for the P&P
Any additional parts required will only incur the cost of the parts - We will not charge for additional labour
Cleaning the carburettors can reveal pre-existing damage - We will inform you if we find any damage upon inspection - We cannot be held responsible for pre-existing damage.
